About

Our journey began upon recognizing the struggles faced by many youths in the black community, particularly immigrants, lacking the essential resources for settling into Canadian life. This led to immense stress, making their settlement a daunting challenge. Similarly, our board of directors experienced similar hurdles when we first arrived in Canada. Navigating the system was complex, and the lack of proper orientation led us into the wrong career paths. The absence of coaches or mentors resulted in numerous mistakes, taking a toll on our mental health.

To address these issues, we’re dedicated to offering educational seminars focusing on building resilience among youths, aiding in overcoming challenges like depression and anxiety, and facilitating access to counseling sessions. Moreover, we aim to provide sessions promoting healthy self-esteem and self-worth among youths, led by providers who mirror their backgrounds. Recognizing that financial constraints can hinder access to these vital services, we’re committed to eliminating these barriers, ensuring that today’s youths, who are tomorrow’s leaders, have the support they need to thrive.

Our Mission

The mission of USACAM FOUNDATION is to improve the mental health and well-being of black individuals and minority communities in Canada by advocating for competent mental health and coaching services that promote empowerment and make community resources accessible to BIPOC newcomers and easily settle in Canada.

Our Vision

We are here to reclaim our voices and empower our fellow creatives, and occupy our space within the counseling and coaching industry. Our vision is to be the umbrella organization for BIPOC by BIPOC. We envision it to be the benchmark for counseling, and coaching, in Central East Alberta. Our resources will provide access and empowerment for people in the association to create without barriers, bringing their vision to life.
